Can I have a swimming pool?
The Village only allows for a pool on properties of a certain size. Please see the Village Code.

Can I have a fence around my property?
The Village Code allows fences of only a certain size and only up to a certain point on your property line. Please see the Village Code.

Can I side my house with vinyl siding?
Yes, however you must submit your application for a permit to the Board of Architectural Review for approval.

Can I replace the windows or doors on my house?
Yes, but again, the Board of Architectural Review must approve the style and shape and a permit is required.

When is garbage pick up and is it curbside?
Garbage pick up is every Tuesday and Thursday and it is picked up in your rear yard. Please don’t put trashcans in front of your house.

What if I have a bulk item?
If you notify the Village Hall by Wednesday afternoon, your item should be picked up the following Tuesday.

What are my options if my application for a permit is refused?
If you feel that your permit was unjustly denied, you may bring your application to the Board of Appeals.

When does the Board of Trustees meet?
The Board of Trustees meets on the fourth Monday of the month with the exception of July and August, when there are no meetings. They meet outside of these dates when necessary and these times are posted on the village website as well as the bulletin board outside of the Village Hall.

What are the parking rules?
You may park on the street anytime except between the hours 10am-noon, and 2pm-4pm each weekday. Parking on the street is never permitted between the hours of 2am and 6am.

Am I responsible for removing the leaves I rake from my lawn?
Your gardener, if you have one, is responsible for leaf removal. If you do not have a gardener, the Village will pick up your leaves provided that they are raked 18inches from the curb and are not piled too high.

When are the streets cleaned?
The streets are swept every two weeks during the spring, summer, and fall months.
